COVID-19

Shine Salon Savannah takes care of staff members and clients.

What do we know about COVID-19 according to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)?

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness caused by a virus called SARS-CoV-2.

Here’s what we currently know:

  • The main way the virus spreads is from person to person.

  • Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).

  • Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks.

  • You may also be able to get it by touching a contaminated surface or object, such as cash or merchandise, that has the virus on it, and then touching your face, mouth, nose, or eyes.

  • COVID-19 may be spread by people who are not experiencing symptoms.

What does our team do in order to protect staff and customers and slow the spread (in accordance with the CDC guidelines)?

  • Have employees and customers wear cloth face coverings.

  • Maintain social distancing policies and practices.

  • Supply employees, customers, and visitors with what they need to clean hands and cover coughs and sneezes.

  • Provide tissues, no-touch trash cans, and alcohol-based hand sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol.

  • Provide soap and water.

  • Perform routine cleaning and disinfecting.

  • Clean all frequently touched surfaces at the beginning and end of each service provided, at minimum.

  • Perform flexible worksites, work hours, and meeting and travel options.

  • Modify the workplace to increase physical space between employees, and between employees and customers, to 6 feet or more, where feasible.
